QUADLOOP®

Globe's new disposable Quadloop enables sampling and dilution streaking without the need to change loops. This is possible due to the unique sphere/handle arrangement which provides four sterile sampling and streaking surfaces simply by turning the handle!
On the other end of the Quadloop is a regular 1uL or 10uL loop for sampling fixed volumes, or a needle for stabbing.
Directions for using the Quadloop sphere:
Hold the Quadloop as you would any other disposable loop.
Note: if use of the loop end is required (e.g. for obtaining 10uL or 1uL liquid samples), hold the Quadloop close to the sphere end. If you wish to use just the sphere, hold the Quadloop at the loop end, with the sphere facing away.
Pick up your inoculum onto the sphere surface use it to streak a portion of the agar plate. Then turn the Quadloop in your hand by 90° (either clockwise or counter-clockwise, but be consistent). You now have a fresh surface on the sphere with which to perform dilution streaking. Another 90° turn of the Quadloop will bring you another fresh surface on which to continue your dilution streaking procedure. A third turn of the Quadloop to the fourth position on the sphere is also possible. The Quadloop is symmetrical, so you can begin at any position.
