Position: Supply Chain Manager

Job Description
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for satisfying customer demand by monitoring available resources and creating purchase orders based on demand and forecast. At all times, inventory levels must be managed to agreed targets. The Sr Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for management and supply of items in line with planned requirements. This will include domestic and internationally purchased items. They will also play a pivotal role by working with Director of Procurement and Planning, Operations, Customer Service, Quality, Finance, Marketing, Product Management, etc. as required to achieve excellence in customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

- Domestic and International Purchasing – Scheduling, management, & monitoring of supply to meet customer requirements and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Proactively identify, report, and escalate constraints which may impact Customer Service levels.
- Maintain accurate Vendor Buying Calendar – frozen lead-time, frozen review, targets, etc.
- Expedite or de-expedite product as required, ensuring availability always while not over-stocking.
- Review Receiving Reports – Contact vendors about damages, shortages, etc.
- Initiate Corrective Action as needed and/or required.
- Vendor Relationships – Build and Maintain professional relationships. Negotiate pricing, minimize annual increases, analyze all price changes, and input all changes into system upon approval.
- Inventory Control – Responsible for stock levels. Communicate incoming information via arrival notices, etc.
- Respond to all emails – Inter and intra-departmental, Suppliers, Freight Forwarders, etc.
- Ensures that Vendor Alerts are reviewed and acted upon.
- Follow up on all inbound shipments to ensure timely delivery or communication of date change as required.
- Work with vendors to ensure requested products and quantities are loaded. Check and prioritize if needed.
- Initiate shipments by communicating with vendors, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
- Provide all necessary documentation to ship, clear, and receive shipments.
Job Qualifications:
- Buying/Planning/Inventory experience in a MRP (or similar) environment and have appropriate and related PC system skills.
- Supply Chain Management experience.
- Excellent Communication, both written and verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Customer Focused.
- Works with sense of urgency and attention to detail always.
- The ability to work on own and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate initiative.
- Initiates, sponsors, and implements change as needed and/or required with approval from Director of Procurement and Planning.
- Works cooperatively with others to produce innovative solutions.
- Solves problems by gathering data and using logic to arrive at decisions or solutions that achieve the desired outcome.
- Makes timely and sound decisions, through effective approaches and analysis for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions.
- Mathematically inclined (outstanding with numbers, conversions, & analysis)
- Excellent knowledge and computer skills in MS Word and Excel
- Take ISO courses, provided by Globe Scientific and Core, to be compliant as we are ISO certified.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- 8+ years of experience in buying, planning, supply chain, and inventory management.
- Prefer experience or familiarity with ISO9001/2015 International Standard.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements
- Office Environment (Home/On-Site)
- Ability to be sedentary for long periods of time.
