Globe Scientific’s Quick-Prep™ Urinalysis Kit streamlines the preparation of urine sediment samples for microscopic examination. This easy-to-use tube and pipette system is specifically designed to isolate 1mL of urine sediment following centrifugation, allowing for accurate analysis while minimizing handling and transfer errors.
Each urinalysis preparation kit includes a specially designed transfer pipette and a 12mL urine centrifuge tube, optimized to simplify the separation process. After centrifugation, the system allows for a clean pour-off of the supernatant, leaving an isolated 1mL sediment sample ready for microscopic review.
For maximum workflow efficiency, the Quick-Prep™ system is designed to work seamlessly with Globe’s Quick-Read™ 10-place urinalysis slides.
Key Features:
Complete tube and pipette system for easy urine sediment isolation
1mL sediment isolation for accurate microscopic examination
Includes specialized transfer pipette and 12mL urine centrifuge tube
Designed for simple supernatant pour-off after centrifugation
Compatible with Quick-Read™ 10-place urinalysis slides
Ideal for clinical laboratories, hospital labs, and diagnostic testing centers
Instructions for use:
1. Add 10mL of urine to our 12mL Quick-Prep tube.
2. Centrifuge for 5 minutes at 1500 rpm.
3. Insert a Quick-Prep pipette into the tube sealing off 1mL of sediment on the bottom of the tube.
4. Hold the bulb of the pipette against the wall of the tube and decant 9mL of the supernate, leaving 1mL of sediment at the bottom of the tube.
5. Squeeze and release the bulb of the Quick-Prep pipette to draw up the sediment.
6. Place a drop of the well mixed sediment into the scalloped area of a numbered chamber on the Quick-Read Precision Cell slide.
